Meet The Teacher
My passion for sharing and exploring yoga is expressed in my classes, and my alignment based teaching invites you to practice compassionate awareness while playing within the poses. My mom is a Sivananda yoga teacher, but I discovered my own yoga passion in my 20s while seeking a way to connect to my own breath and stillness to help alleviate the stresses of my hi-tech career.
When I realized yoga gave me power and tools I was hooked! Yoga is my foundation to practice self-acceptance, self-compassion, self-regulation and with these tools I’m constantly discovering my power -- my true self. This sounds challenging, and it is but it is also fun. It leads me on paths full of intriguing discoveries and beautiful connections.
I want to share the foundations and joy of yoga so you can discover or continue along your path of learning, discovering, and playing in your life. Through Mercury Moon I offer you the opportunity to deepen your explorations on retreat -- come play with your yoga and explore amazing food in beautiful natural locations.
I continue to study with my cherished teachers and friends Kate and Jim Coughlin at Downtown Yoga in Pleasanton, and other wonderful teachers at workshops and retreats. As a graduate of Downtown Yoga’s teacher training program I am a certified Yoga Alliance member (500-RYT). I currently teach at Downtown Yoga in Pleasanton and have had wonderful experiences teaching at chiropractor and physical therapy clinics.
Studio classes are currently suspended until further notice as our community shelters-in-place and takes care of ourselves and our families during this pandemic. Please look for my virtual classes and retreats.
